Jackie Marchington, Director of Operations, is busy at Caudex in Oxford.
Starting up the day by logging on to medcommsday.com to see what’s happening this year! Quite a bit already, I see. I’ve done my morning GAPP surveillance – looking for articles/coverage about medical writing/publication planning that might require the GAPP team (GAPPteam.org) to prepare a response. Nothing jumps out, so I can start organizing my day.
We’re waiting to hear from a client on a proposal where we’re recommending working with our McCann Complete Medical colleagues in Mumbai to provide onsite writer assistance at an advisory board. It’s good to be able to keep third party costs down by leveraging the network. We’re also being visited by our Japanese scientific director tomorrow to talk publications (I hope it’s SOPs!), so I need to do some prep for that.
I have some client deliverable work to get on with now, but another thing on my list for today is “why it isn’t a good idea to prepare or print posters in PowerPoint…” If anyone wants to join in, feel free!
Goodness, where has the morning gone? Ooh, my new starter has just arrived for his induction too…
(And yes, that is a bottle of gin on my desk… essential!)
