Putting Trust to the Test
Date: 10.00 UK time on 9 June 2021
[PROGRAMME AND REGISTRATION DETAILS
Join us on #MedComms Day for a special event to hear the 2021 health sector results of the Edelman Trust Barometer – the largest, annual, global survey of trust in the world, looking at a year which has been like no other in our lifetimes.
Whatever our role in healthcare communications our work both influences and is influenced by perception of trust in the healthcare sector. Last year at the start of the pandemic we saw trust in the healthcare sector reach new highs. But what has happened as the pandemic has progressed and vaccines have been developed and vaccination programmes deployed? How has trust in governments and the media been impacted? And have any changes in trust been globally aligned or country specific? What are the implications for how we evolve in a post-lockdown world and better support our customers, clients, organisations, and people? How can you leverage these global and local insights to deliver more impactful outcomes for your health business as we navigate through whatever our new normal will look like?
Our event will feature a presentation by Edelman Global Managing Director and EMEA Health Practice Chair Carolyn Paul on this year’s results and will be followed by a robust panel discussion exploring the business and communication impacts for people working in the health industry. This will be followed by a short Q&A with the audience.
Our panellists include:
-
Alice Choi, HCA Chair and Chief Operating Officer, McCann Health Medical Communications
-
Jane Symons, Vice Chair of the Medical Journalists’ Association and a freelance health writer, author and media consultant
-
Jo Taylor, Director EMEA Policy & Government Affairs, Seqirus & Chair of the HCA’s Foresight Committee
-
Andrew Powrie-Smith, Executive Director of Communications & Partnerships, EFPIA
